Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to introduce you: Teacher Presence.

Teacher Presence is an innovative platform designed to encourage those families who choose to give a gift of thanks to their teacher or staff member at the end of the year, to instead consider redirecting the money through Teacher Presence which supports nominated charities. Our school is endorsing this as it is a “win-win-win” initiative. It not only provides a great way to acknowledge the efforts of staff, your donation also supports a charity in need and sets a wonderful example for our children. Of course, many families are doing it tough so please be reminded that there is no compulsion to give, but if you are in a position to do so, consider www.teacherpresence.org.

It is a choice whether your child’s teacher or support staff is part of this movement, so simply jump onto the website, find the tab ‘School staff’, to see if your staff member is a Teacher Presence member.

Many thanks for considering this alternative.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to support some of our school staff in being a part of an innovative concept this year around the optional end-of-year family gift-giving.

Put simply, this initiative known as Teacher Presence, allows a staff member to nominate one of four charities supported by this organisation.

Families then have the opportunity of donating to their staff member’s chosen charity in place of the optional end of year gift they may have otherwise purchased.

Whilst our staff are very grateful for the gifts some families have chosen to give them historically, they’re also excited by the concept and inspiration of giving to those less fortunate.

If you’re interested, we would encourage you to check the website to see if your child’s teacher or staff member has registered.

https://www.teacherpresence.org/

Please note that participation is completely voluntary, so you may or may not find your staff member’s name on the list – we just wanted to make you aware that some of our staff are choosing to be involved.

Many thanks,

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As educators we are passionate to live the values we strive to teach, and this has led us to introduce Teacher Presence into our school community.

Some of our staff may choose to be involved with this charity as the end of the school year approaches. Teacher Presence is a teacher/support staff driven charity that encourages school staff and families to make a difference in the world by re-deploying the money that is spent on the optional end of year teacher gift for a donation to a charity supported by Teacher Presence.

We certainly acknowledge that it is a staff member’s choice if they wish to be involved with Teacher Presence and is also a family’s choice if they wish to give an end of year teacher gift.

Here is a video explaining how Teacher Presence works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaJ8eNp0k8s.

Simply, school staff members nominate a charity from the four charities that Teacher Presence aligns with. Families then go onto the Teacher Presence website (www.teacherpresence.org) and click on the ‘School staff’ tab to see if their teacher or support staff is part of the Teacher Presence movement. They then follow the instructions to donate. There is the option to leave a message of thanks to their chosen staff member. The staff member will be alerted if the donation to their nominated charity has been made.

Whilst our staff are very grateful for the gifts some families have chosen to give them historically, they are also excited and inspired by the concept of giving to those less fortunate.

If you are interested, we would encourage you to check the Teacher Presence website to see if your child’s teacher has registered.
